Eircode

What is Eircode?

Eircode is the postcode system that was introduced into Ireland in July 2015. The postcode is a mixture of alphas and numeric numbers and is seven characters in length.

Unique, accurate codes

Eircodes are divided into two parts; a routing key and a unique identifier. The routing key is the first three characters representing the general area and the last four characters are the unique identifier. An example of an Eircode is A65 R2GF. GeoDirectory is the source of Eircodes which were devised, created and are maintained using it’s vast database of address lists and combines data acquired from An Post and Ordnance Survey Ireland.
